The Rebate program is a away for Politicians to claim they are giving property tax relief without really doing anything. So our taxes continue to climb at greater amounts than what we get back from the Homestead rebate program. Yet, do you think that all of the Rebate money is sitting in a bank account somewhere ready to be distributed? No, they borrow the money sattling us with MORE DEBT and higher taxes later....but they can say today that they are giving tax relief.
This is a PONZI scheme!!

Sounds like a great way for the Government to boost spending by providing a rebate for people. Hopefull whilst some will save this others will also spend a portion of it therefore boosting the economy.
