I agree is the Wegman's is too big and poorly designed, but they have a better mix of products and pricing than other stores. If you take a list, you probably won't get distracted. Also, per a recent post, shops are also using new ways to get more customers with instore shopping list specific coupons you can get via your mobile phone. This along with the items you mentioned just show how far stores are going to attract customers in these tough economic times.
